No news has been released about the trains only running between Trenton and Newark Penn Station for Northeast Corridor lines, and trains only running between Long Branch and Newark Penn Station on the North Jersey Coast Line tracks. Long delays were expected for both services.

The Secaucus station has been reopened for transfer to New York-bound trains, despite earlier delays.

Passengers reported earlier today that long delays and crowding could be found at the Secaucus transfer station. Westfield Patch reported, "Secaucus was jammed with commuters trying to find a way into the city or Hoboken ... many [people] were detouring back to Newark Penn in search of a PATH train."

Those heading into New York were advised to stay on the train at the Secaucus station and catch a PATH train into New York from Hoboken, although NJ TRANSIT now reports the Secaucus station can be used to transfer again.

Anyone heading to Newark Liberty International Airport was advised earlier in the day to take PATH to Newark Penn Station and transfer to the No. 62 bus on the lower level to the airport.

Updates will be added throughout the day.
