Snow Day Number Two: Closings and Cancellations for Thursday

A fresh batch of snow brough in a fresh snow day today; all Bernards Township Schools have been closed for Thursday, Feb. 11. The Somerset Hills YMCA will have a delayed opening tomorrow.

Snow fell heavily through the late afternoon and early evening yesterday, piling up over 18 inches high in some areas of Somerset County. Driving may still be hazardous due to wind blown snow and slippery road conditions.

A list of all township activities that have been canceled or rescheduled can be found below:

Schools – Closed for snow day - Feb. 10 and Feb. 11

• All Bernards Township Public Schools - Closed
• Somerset Hills Montessori - Closed
• The Albrook School - Closed
• The Pingry School - Closed, both campuses
• Coed Swimming Practice - Canceled
• Girls Basketball (all levels) @ N. Hunterdon – Postponed to TBA
• Ice Hockey Practice – Canceled
• Boys and Girls Varsity Ski Racing - Liberty League Meet  – Canceled

Bernards Township Municipal Activities

• Shade Tree Commission Meeting – Rescheduled for today, 7:30 p.m.
• Board of Adjustment Special Meeting – Canceled
• Board of Health Meeting – Postponed to TBA

Bernards Township Community Activities

• Somerset Hills Y.M.C.A. – Delayed Opening, both Mt. Airy and Riverwalk facilities open at 11 a.m.
