Their peers selected a Teacher of the Year at each of Bernards Township's six schools — and there were plenty of teachers in the audience when the names were announced at this week's Board of Education meeting.

Raccoon Killed in Bernardsville Being Tested for Rabies

A six-year-old Bernardsville girl reported to have been attacked by a raccoon late last month while playing in the family backyard has completed treatment to prevent rabies, and is doing well, her mother said. Meanwhile, a "sickly" looking raccoon — not necessarily the same one — was killed by Bernardsville police and was being tested for rabies.
