Blue Christmas - Evening Prayer Service

When
we are sad or lonely, we say we are "feeling blue" but blue in the
church is the color of Advent Hope.  The hope we celebrate each
Christmas that the Light of God's love "shines in the darkness and the
darkness shall not overcome it." (John 1:5).

During
this service we remember those for whom the holidays are particularly
difficult.  Those who are suffering with pain, depression, doubt or
grief can get overshadowed by all the holiday cheer and joy.  If that is
you, I hope you will join us for a time of music and prayer as we
gather from out of the darkness into the Light of Christ.

If
someone you know or love is feeling "blue" at this time of year, I hope
you will invite them to join us to receive a strong measure of God's
great gift of hope.
