Bucknell University Handbell Choir Concert

The Bucknell University Rooke Chapel Ringers will give a handbell concert at the Presbyterian Church, 1 East Oak Street, Basking Ridge, NJ, on Friday, January 11, 2013, at 7:00 p.m.

The Rooke Chapel Ringers were organized in 1983 under the direction of William A. Payn, director of choral studies at the university.  The choir consists of 16 student members selected by audition.  They represent every major field of study at Bucknell, including the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business administration, education and engineering.

The Ringers play regularly for Protestant worship services on campus and participate in the traditional ringing-in-of-Christmas at Candlelight services in Rooke Chapel each December.  These services are recorded and have been televised by PBS.  A special DVD/CD package will be available for purchase at the performance.
