Free Mentor Training from United Way of Northern New Jersey

United Way of Northern New Jersey's free mentor training program is open to anyone interested in becoming a mentor.  Participants learn the fundamentals of mentoring individuals, whether they are children, teens, or adults.  These skills can be used for youth mentoring, professional mentoring, financial mentoring, and more.

The training covers:
*Roles and responsibilities of a successful mentor
*How to help your mentee set and achieve goals
*The effect of values and diversity in mentoring relationships
*Communication skills
*Problem-solving skills
*How to select the mentoring opportunity that’s right for you

Ages 13+, groups and individuals welcome.
