Interfaith Dialogue Luncheon: Religion and Ecology, The New Environmental Ethic at the Table of Abraham

Co-sponsored by Interweave, St. Bernard’s Church, Greenfaith, & Genesis Farms

If we are to create a sustainable future for the human community and the planet, religions will need to be involved. Our values inform the decisions we make as individuals, and they also help to shape public policy. Through the lens of the Abrahamic faith traditions, consider our call to embrace a new environmental ethic.

Danny Martin, Ph.D. is one of the four founders and conveners of the Thomas berry Forum for Ecological Dialogue at Iona College and a recipient of the first Thomas Berry Great Work Award.

Rabbi Lawrence Troster is Greenfaith’s Rabbinic Scholar in residence, co-founder of the Greenfaith Fellowship Program and a nationally recognized religious-environmental scholar and leader.

M. Ali Chaudry, PhD. is a lecturer at Rutgers and co-author of a textbook on Islam & Muslims with Dr. Robert Crane. He is a founding member of the Islamic Society of Central Jersey and a Commisioner on the NJ Commission on National and Community Service.
