"Miss Julie" Play Reading by the Farmstead Players

The Farmstead Players continue their free staged play
reading series on Monday, July 14 at 7 PM at Farmstead Arts, 450 King George
Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.  The play will
be Miss Julie, a naturalistic  play written in 1888 by
August Strindberg dealing with class distinctions, love, lust, and the
battle of the sexes.   It is set on Midsummer's Eve on the
estate of a Count in Sweden. Admission is free and the series promises to give
audiences a unique insight to the creative process of developing a work for the
stage and actors the opportunity to read a wide variety of plays.  Each play reading is followed by a forum
which enables the audience to ask questions of the director and cast.

There is no admission charge for the reading directed by
Farmstead Arts Artistic Director William Ward or for intermission refreshments,
but contributions are gratefully accepted. To learn about casting for readings,
contact wjpward@verizon.net.
