2011 AAUW Used Book Sale

Thousands of sorted used books, at really great prices, are one of the signature highlights of the Annual Somerset Hills AAUW Used Book Sale.  Fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, novels, cookbooks, history, science fiction, classic literature, and Choice Books are just a sampling of the many categories of pre-sorted books on sale. For more information, go to www.SomersetHillsAAUW.org.

Dates: Book Sale Dates: Thursday, August 11   12-8pm

                                      Friday, August 12        12-8pm

                                      Saturday, August 13     9-3pm

The prices for Friday and Saturday are only $1 for adult books and 50 cents for children’s.  On opening day, Thursday, August 11th, pricing is at a 25% premium for the best selection of books; still a great bargain.

The proceeds of this book sale go to our local libraries: Bernards Township Library, Bernardsville Library, Clarence Dillon Library, Long Hill Township Library and Peapack-Gladstone Library.  Part of the funds raised also support the AAUW Educational Foundation, AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund and the AAUW-NJ Charitable Trust.  The Mary I. Bunting Scholarship Fund at Douglass College and Raritan Valley Community College also received money from this sale.  For the last three years, funds have also been distributed to award a scholarship to a local college woman to attend the National Council for Women Student Leaders.
