The all-volunteer Liberty Corner Fire Co. and rescue organization has lined up a trio of comics who perform coast to coast for its annual fundraising comedy night on Saturday, Oct., in the ballroom of the firehouse at 95 Church St.
This year’s show features a lineup of funnymen who play from New York to California, HBO to Comedy Central, star in films and theatre and are guaranteed to entertain, according to an invitation to all from the fire company.
Doors and a wine and beer bar will open at 7 p.m., and the show is scheduled to begin promptly at 8 p.m. The show is for those age 21 and over.
Tickets, which include a contribution to the fire company and first aid squad, are $40 per person, and may be purchased in advance by sending a check to the Liberty Corner Fire Company, P.O. Box 98, Liberty Corner, NJ 07938.
Comic Richie Byrne is a long-time veteran of stage, screen and stand-up, according to information from the fire company.
Aside from working comedy venues around the world, he also has had television appearances on Comedy Central, VH1, "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and "The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet."
Byrne also is an accomplished actor and singer with a long resume of theatrical and television credits including "Sex & the City", "The Sopranos" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." Richie can also be seen in the indie film, "Goodbye Baby."
Byrne writes, produces and stars in his own musical variety series "The Richie Byrne Show," which can be seen at various venues around New York City. Currently, he takes pride in being the warmup comic for The Dr. Oz Show, according to the fire company's information.
Joe DeVito was born in Manhattan and ran wild on the mean streets of the Bronx until the age of 18 months, when his family moved to the suburbs, according to preview information on the show.
Along the way, family instilled in him a love of good food and storytelling, values that have made him "an emerging comic who frankly could stand to lose a few pounds." Smart, silly and likeable, DeVito performs at venues across the USA and is a regular at New York's Gotham Comedy Club.
In 2006, DeVito was a featured performer on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" and performed at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. He has also written for MTV, FUSE, Stuff Magazine and the Oscar-nominated film "Super Size Me." In 2007, he appeared on NBC's "Last Comic Standing," making it all the way to the semi-finals in Los Angeles.
He is currently appearing regularly on the Fox News Channel's "Red Eye" and was most recently seen on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," "Chelsea Lately," and as a panelist on Animal Planet's "Wild 100: Top 10" and "The A-List."
He will be seen on CNN's "Not Just Another Cable News Show" in the very near future. "Keep your eyes open for big things to come from this very funny act!" according to the fire company's publicity.
Bob DiBuono has established himself as one of the most dynamic acts on stage, according to the fire company. With a sarcastic and edgy wit coupled with a high energy and animated delivery, DiBuono exposes the absurdities in life, his family and more. With an “Every Man” likeability and great versatility, he moves in and out of voices, impressions and characters which illuminate his point of view connecting to audiences all around the country.
DiBuono performs around the country in many of New York City’s top clubs and has been seen on E! Gossip Show, MTV’S “TRL”, The Today Show and FOX’S Red Eye. He also appears frequently on The Jim Breuer Show on SiriusXm Radio and has been on Opie and Anthony show as well. DiBuono currently is the voice on the SPIKE TV Men’s Choice Awards commercial.
