Holiday Walk With Santa Replaces Parade in Liberty Corner

All invited to free holiday event on Dec. 19 in downtown Liberty Corner village.

The Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce this year will hold a Holiday Walk & Meet Santa evening event on Dec. 19 in downtown Liberty Corner Village that replaces the previous parade.

All residents are invited to meet at 7 p.m. that Thursday at the flagpole in the center of Liberty Corner, and walk together to the nearby Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church Center Court for refreshments.

The Liberty Corner Fire Co. will bring Santa on one of their fire trucks to meet children and take photos, according to Chamber Executive Director Al LiCata said.

There is no charge to attend the event. Residents are invited to bring cameras.

The previous years' street parades required a permit. LiCata said this year's event will involve walking on the sidewalks from the flagpole to the church at 45 Church St.

Businesses are offered vendor table space available at nominal fee, according to a chamber announcement. For further information, call the chamber at  908-339-5937.

BTCC to hold Chamber networking event this Thursday

The chamber also has scheduled a holiday business networking event for 6 to 7 p.m. this Thursday at The Vine Restaurant, Route 202, in Basking Ridge.

There is no charge to attend, but a cash bar. No RSVP is needed. There is no planned program and business or casual attire is welcome.
