Halloween Happenings Coming Up at EEC This Friday and Saturday

Enjoy tangy outdoors weather and Halloween at the same time.

Fun-filled night walks and other Halloween activities for children and their parents in celebration of Halloween are coming up at the end of this week at the Somerset County Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge.

“By the Light of the Moon,” for adults and children of all ages, is scheduled for 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. this Friday. Led by one of the center's naturalists, adventurers will explore the Great Swamp while listening for animal sounds and using their night vision to walk the swampy trails beneath the stars.

Walks will depart every 15 minutes, while at the same time indoor activities will include a maze, live critters, refreshments and more.
