Welcome to Basking Ridge Patch

A news Web site launches exclusively for the community

Basking Ridge Patch was launched on Dec. 9, 2009.

Like our sister sites throughout north and central New Jersey, Basking Ridge Patch is a "hyperlocal" news source reporting exclusively on the news and events in the community. Think of us as your very own daily newspaper, without the print version.

Basking Ridge Patch will report on everything in town, from student clubs at the schools to government meetings on Collyer Ln. If it happens in Basking Ridge, it will be on Basking Ridge Patch. Look under our news tab for stories about business, government, opinion, police and fire news, schools and sports.

We hope the site also will serve as a valuable resource to members of the community. We've created a directory of all the business, government and community sites in the area to provide you with all of the information you need to know about Basking Ridge.

Need an auto mechanic, a new barber, or looking for a place to grab a quick, cheap bite to eat? Head over to our directory and browse around for the place that looks right for you.

Patch also posts events and announcements for all of the meetings and happenings in town. Our aim is to have everything you need to know about what is going on in town in one place. And to accomplish that goal, we want you to be involved. Feel free to post your own events and announcements, comment on our stories, and most importantly, let us know what you want to hear.

Basking Ridge Patch is not only about the community – it is for the community. As the site's editor, I want to hear what you think of the work we are doing. What can we do to help get you the information you need to know? Let me know by sending me an email to nathan@patch.com or by stopping to chat when you see me in town.

Thanks, and I hope you enjoy the site.
