Another Break-in Reported at Somerset Hills Country Club

Second break-in at Somerset Hills Country in Bernardsville, a week after reported theft at USGA Golf Museum.

A second break-in has been reported overnight at the Somerset Hills Country Club in Bernardsville, followingstolen from the private facility at 180 Mine Mount Road.

Police Chief Kevin Valentine on Tuesday morning confirmed the incident but said no futher information was available at that time.

Capt. Jack Bennett of the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office said shortly after 10 a.m. that the report is still being investigated and additional information will be available later on Monday.

This latest incident in Bernardsville also follows Road in Basking Ridge.

The latest update from Bernards Township police is that crime remains under investigation. The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office was handling the golf museum burglary, and also will handle the latest break in at the Somerset Hills Country Club, according to the Bernardsville police chief.
