Another Burglary While Residents Away

Police say jewelry was taken from home on Mine Brook Road.

 say another unoccupied home was burglarized sometime this week while the residents were away.

The Mine Brook Road home was broken into sometime between Monday and Wednesday, police said. The resident reported the burglary upon returning home later on Wednesday, police said.

Police said an unspecified amount of jewelry had been taken after forced entry had been gained into the home.

The break-in had the "same m.o. (modus operandi) as while owners were away from their homes," Police Lt. Mike Voorhees said.

It appears that the homes were cased while residents were away, Voorhees said.

Meanwhile, two residences also were reported to be burglarized in neighboring Warren Township over the July 4 holiday.
