Bernards Roads Reported Slippery For Evening Commute

Bernards Township Library cancels 'Twilight Tales' at 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday night could be slick driving.

Basking Ridge roads reportedly are slippery and all county and township salt trucks are out salting as the evening begins after a day of mixed snow and sleeting rain.

Evening commuters should take it slow and use caution on the roads, police advise.

One reported accident with no injuries took place on Whitenack Road as of 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Library cancels Twilight Tales

The Bernards Township Library also canceled "Twilight Tales," scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service was reporting a chance of snow, mainly before 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening, with a low around 18 degrees. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible, in the area, the weather service said.

Wednesday is predicted to be sunny.
