Burglary Reported in Northern Basking Ridge

Burglary believed to have taken place between late afternoon and evening.

Police still are waiting for a tallied value of jewelry and cash reported stolen during a burglary on Jan. 4 in northern Basking Ridge.

According to the report, entry was forced into a home on Ellis Drive some time between 4 and 9:15 p.m. on that day, the police report said.

The police reort said that entry apparently was forced through a back door. The master bedroom was ransacked, and jewelry and cash believed to be stolen, the police report said.

The burglar is believed to have taken mostly cash, the report said.
