Husbands Alleged Handwritten Confession Denied As Grounds For New Trial

With up to ten years in prison for a vehicular homicide conviction looming over Amie Marrocelli’s head, an alleged handwritten confession from her husband could not be authenticated, losing her a bid for a new trial, according to nj.com.

Marrrocelli, 41, of Union County claims it was her husband that was driving the vehicle on Oct. 10, 2010 that caused the crash along Interstate 78 in Warren Township, killing 22-year-old Steven Wall, according to nj.com.

She told the court during her trial that she initially agreed to lie to police about who was driving the BMW to protect her husband who already a drunk driving conviction under his name, according to nj.com.
