Major Crash Causes Backups on I-78
Police say Medevac helicopter called to the scene early Wednesday morning.
State Police at Perryville barracks on Wednesday morning released preliminary information on a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 78 westbound in Bedminster Township that resulted in early-morning backups.
State police said the crash occurred around 5:45 a.m. on milepost 29.6 along the highway. No further information was released on the condition of the vehicle's occupant or occupants.
The accident remains under investigation, according to police. Further information is expected to be released later on Wednesday.

Traffic was flowing freely as of shortly after 9 a.m., following previous backups, state police said.
