Tree Man's Death Probed at Nudist Club

and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are still investigating the death of a tree worker who was hit on the head by a falling tree limb at the wooded on Allen Road on Wednesday morning, police said.

The victim, pronounced dead at the site of the accident, was an employee of Tamke Tree Experts, located nearby on Martinsville Road in the township, according to the police report. The identity of the man has not been released.

The man was apparently struck on the head by a falling tree limb weighing about 40 pounds that fell from approximately 70 feet overhead, according to the police report. The man was wearing all proper safety gear at the time he was struck, police said.

The accident was reported shortly before 9:30 a.m. Liberty Corner First Aid Squad responded, along with township police. A call initially went out for a Medevac helicopter to assist the injured worker, but was canceled after the man was pronounced dead from his apparent head injury, police said Thursday morning.

Police said Thursday they were withholding the name of the victim since not all of his relatives had been notified.

Sky Farm Nudist Club is private, member-owned cooperative and club located at 177 Allen Road, nearby the Sons of Liberty municipal park. The club has promoted family nudism since 1932, according to the website. The seasonal summer destination features 35 acres of land, Poconos-like cabins, a pool, sauna, hot tub and club house, according to information on the private club.
