Police Investigate Burglary at Sienna's Gourmet Pizza

Rear door damaged and cash missing from the register, police report.

The manager of Sienna’s Gourmet Pizza in the Lyons Mall reported that the restaurant had been burglarized, according to Bernards Township Police.

On Tuesday at 10:20 a.m., the manager stated that when he arrived to open the restaurant he found the rear door damaged and was unable to open the door. Police indicated that there were pry marks around the lock and door jamb.

Patrol officers were able to enter the restaurant and searched the restaurant to make sure that no suspects were still inside. During their search, officers  observed that the cash register had been moved and was open. The manager confirmed that the register had been tampered with and that cash was missing from the register.

The burglary is believed to have been committed sometime between Sunday at 8:15 p.m. and Tuesday at 10 a.m. (the restaurant was closed on Monday).
