Police Investigate Burglary That Occurred While Homeowner Was Away

Valuables reported missing from home on King George Road.

Police said Tuesday they still are working to identify a suspect in a reported burglary of a home on King George Road, where a resident said her home was apparently broken into while she was away between July 2 to July 8.

Police said the apparent burglary most likely took place between those dates. Police said investigators determined the point of entry was a rear sliding glass door that was discovered to be damaged.

According to police, drawers in a home office and drawers in the master bedroom had been disturbed. Police processed the residence for forensic evidence, the police report said.

Police said items reported missing from the residence are checkbooks and various pieces of jewelry. A total value for the missing items was not immediately known, according to police.
