Some Township Roads Closed Due to Continuing Construction, Fallen Foliage

Fallen wires also a problem on Monday afternoon.

Lyons Road west of Mount Airy Road in Bernards Township, on the Liberty Corner side of the intersection, will continue to be closed through at least Wednesday afternoon for a water main construction project, township police said on Monday.

Another construction project that closed Madisonville Road last week is sufficiently completed so the road again is open on Monday, said Bernards Township Lt. Ed Reese. However, he said the road can be expected to be subject to more closures in the near future for milling and paving.

During Monday's stormy weather, a number of roads had partial or total blockages as of late in the afternoon, according to township police.
