Spring Has Sprung?!?

Mix of snow and rain predicted to continue through Thursday's morning commute.

Drivers may have been taken by surprise on Monday morning when snow began falling during what is officially billed as the first week of spring. But they'd better adjust their attitude — a mix of morning snow with later rain is the National Weather Service prediction for Basking Ridge every day through Thursday.

Township police reported that four accidents took place on snow-covered roads between about 8 to 10 a.m. on Monday.

State police reported that Routes 287 and 78 were slushy and slippery at around the same time.

But residents should "think snow" before they open their eyes on Tuesday morning.
