Township Police Searching For Van on Video Around Time of Gas Station Burglary

Information sought on gray or silver van.

Township police are seeking information on a gray or silver van caught on video around the time of a reported burglary at the gas station on King George Road which apparently took place between about 11 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, and 5 a.m. on Monday, April 4.

Township police said they are continuing to investigate leads into the reported burglary, during which an undisclosed but "substantial" amount of cash was reported to have been taken last week.

Those leads were made available by a security system installed in the station office, police said, including a video of a van seen right outside the office from which the cash had been taken.

"We believe the van is a late 80's, early 90's Ford Econoline," said Detective Lt. Ted Reese. The gray or silver-colored van was captured on video in the Exxon lot during the time frame of the reported burglary, he said.

Reese said police are not sure if the van has new Jersey plates. Investigators are working on enhancing the video, but that could take additional time, he said.
