Holiday Closures, Year's Final Twp. Committee Meeting This Week

Community caroling set for Christmas Eve.

Holiday closings should keep much of Basking Ridge quiet this week, with municipal offices and the Bernards Township Library scheduled to be closed on Monday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 25.

Bernards Township schools also will be closed this week, with classes to resume next Wednesday, Jan. 2.

One public event scheduled for this week is the Christmas Eve community caroling sing-a-long scheduled to last from 7 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Carolers are asked to arrive at 6:45 p.m., preferably with a flashlight, when song sheets will be handed out. The long-running annual event will as usual be held on the green in the center of Basking Ridge, with musicians to perform in front of The Presbyterian Church of Basking Ridge.
