Nine Candidates File for Three Positions on Board of Education

Nine candidates, including two incumbents, file to be included on April ballot for three, three-year positions on the Bernards Township Board of Education.

Nine candidates, including two incumbents, had filed as of Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline to seek election to three positions on the Bernards Township Board of Education. The candidates would be included on the April 27 ballot for the three-year terms.

The candidates who filed election petitions at the Board of Education office by the deadline are:  

Bev Darvin Cwerner, Elmwod Court, an incumbent

Timothy Ingling, Madisonville Road

Renee Marchetti, Dickinson Road

Susan McGowan, Peachtree Road, an incumbent

Teresa Morgan, Mine Brook Road

Robert Rofman, Patriot Hill Drive

Priti Shah, Sentinel Drive

William Stuart, Huntington Road

Linda Wooldridge, Hillcrest Way

Ken Wilke, currently a board member, said on Monday night he had decided not to seek re-election. The school election currently is set for April 27 unless the state decides to change the date.
