Searing to Permanently Head Township's HR

Interim manager given permanent position by Township Committee.

Jill Searing, the township's interim manager for human resources since last year's retirement of Marie Eula, has been appointed to permanently lead the municipality's human resources department.

Township Administrator Bruce McArthur said Searing has more than 30 years of experience in human resources departments of large corporations.

Searing technically will be a human resources officer to recognize her additional experience McArthur said when the Township Committee made the appointment last week.

Searing said she is a township resident. She attended last week's meeting, as well as previous meetings.

McArthur said Searing will be paid an annual salary of $99,120.

The appointment was made on the same night the Township Committee Following a six-month wage freeze, the ordinance makes those employees eligible for merit raises of 1.5 percent, pro-rated over the remaining half of the year.
