Some Somerset County Roads Remain Flooded

Also, flooding behind homes on lower part of Harrison Brook Drive on Thursday morning.

Several roads throughout the county have remained closed on Thursday because of flooding following Hurricane Irene and Tuesday's heavy rain, according to an announcement from Somerset County.

As of about 8 a.m., the backyards of homes on the lower elevations of Harrison Brook Drive were flooded. But the water had mostly receded by about 9:30 a.m.

  • Old York Road between Bridgewater and Branchburg
  • Route 28 on the Branchburg and Bridgewater border
  • Rattlesnake Bridge Road in Bedminster between Route 78 and Lamington Road
  • Lamington Road and Rattlesnake Bridge Road between Bedminster and Branchburg
  • Burnt Mills Road between Rattlesnak Bridge Road and Cowperthwaite in Bedminster
  • Lamington Road on the Bedminster and Hunterdon County border
  • The Studdiford Bridge between Branchburg and Hillsborough
  • South Middlebush Road in Franklin between Bennetts Lane and Blackwells Mills Causeway
  • South Middlebush Road in Franklin between Jacques and Skillmans lanes
  • River Road in Hillsborough between Roycefield Road and the Lyman Street Bridge for a tree down
  • Peapack Road at the border of Peapack and Far Hills
