Fellowship Village has some homes without heat

reportedly had some homes without heat. On Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the housing development for elderly residents, some in assisted living, confirmed that there were some homes without power, which included their heat.

However, Mary Meier, director of community relations at Fellowship Village, said that the main facility, with the skilled nursing and assisted nursing center, had never been without power. She said that there are places for residents to go during the day if they have no heat. Meier added that those residents without heat had been invited to sleep in the assisted living or nursing areas, and that a number of residents had taken advantage of that offer.

Meier said the CEO, COO and vice president of marketing has as of Tuesday morning checked on those households without head and had again reminded those residents of places within the complex where they could spend the day or night.

Patch will update this story through the day.
