NOTES: Ridge, as the top seed, lost to third-seeded Randolph 1-0 in last year's Public A state championship game that was played this past March 21 at the Prudential Center in Newark.

In the 2008 Public A state championship game played March 22, 2008 at the Prudential Center - which was in its first year of existence at the time - second-seeded Ridge blanked fourth-seeded Watchung Hills 5-0.

Ridge, as the second seed, reached the semifinals of the Public Schools state tournament in 2007, falling to third-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan 4-2 on March 17, 2007 at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford. BR lost to top-seeded Randolph 5-4 in overtime in the March 23 final of that year at Mennen Arena in Morris Township.
