Asst. Superintendent Regina Rudolph's Resignation Letter

Assistant schools superintendent, who also announces intention to retire in June, gives her take on working alongside Goger for 13 years in the Bernards district.

Editor's Note: The following letter of resignation, from Assistant Schools Superintendent Regina Rudolph, was submitted on Oct. 10 to Superintendent of Schools Valerie Goger. That same night, Goger submitted a letter to the Board of Education saying that she also would retire as of June 30, 2012.

Dear Dr. Goger,

Thirteen years ago as I drove up Lake Road to the Board Office, I said to myself, this will be a nice place to work. I was wrong; this is an extraordinary place to work. But even extraordinary things must come to an end. So it is with bittersweet thoughts that I tender my resignation for the purpose of retirement as Assistant Superintendent effective June 30, 2012.
