Bd of Ed Considering Construction Manager, Teacher Evaluations on Monday

The school district's director of curriculum, Sean Siet, is scheduled to outline the requirements of a new teacher evaluation system, a new requirement put in place by the state under the Excellent Educators for New Jersey program.

The board and public also are scheduled to hear a presentation on the process of strategic planning from Gwen Thornton, a representative of the New Jersey School Boards Association.

According to the meeting agenda and school website, the only item under consideration for formal approval is the acknowledgment of receipt of construction management proposals. The board could offer the contract award, according to the agenda.

The contract would be for a general contract manager, rather a manager for a specific project, according to information from the school board's business office.
