Stained Glass Artistry & Luncheon sponsored by the Somerset Hills AAUW

Bea Card Kettlewood has been recording what she sees for some 76+ years and showing professionally since 1959. She is a lifelong resident of Pompton Plains, a graduate of Kean University with a BS in art education, and earned MA and doctorate degrees in Creative Arts from NYU. A long-time art educator, she is proud of the numerous and varied art-career accomplishments of her former students. She says, "Art from the Start – visual arts in public schools is essential."

Kettlewood works in many media, but for our program she will discuss and demonstrate her work in stained glass. She has designed stained glass windows for the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains, and the chapels at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital, the Rehabilitation Institute of Morristown and Hackettstown Community Hospital.

The artist's presentation will follow a luncheon catered by Tuscany Bistro of Pluckemin. The cost of the luncheon is $10 per person. Please reserve a place for lunch by January 7, so that the restaurant will be able to make the appropriate preparations. Call Paula Choyke at 908-326-3378 (leave a message). Make out your check to SHAAUW and give it to Paula at the luncheon.
