SUNDAY EVENTS : Disney Musicals, Easter Egg Hunt, Yoga

Something for everyone, including two Disney musicals in one show, and "Are You Faster than a Ridge Runner?"

Whether you want to enjoy some Disney music presented by students at the have your child's photo snapped with the Easter Bunny, bring your basket for an Easter Egg Hunt at , or take a little hike at Duke Farms, there's lots of fun things to do with the kids this weekend.

You can be an adult or kid, and join Sunday's "Are You Faster than A Ridge Runner?" at a time of year when the weather is not too hot, or not too cold for a good run.

But the grown-ups don't need to feel left out. On Thursday night, the will host its annual pre-Passover wine tasting — at an incredibly reasonable $5 — with wines that will please whether you plan to celebrate Passover in a few weeks, or just want to sample a variety of tasty wines.

There's also an open house for brides-to-be at the on Thursday, and a host of musical performances in nearby Morris County coming up in the next few days. Or run a 10K at Somerset County's Duke Island Park in Bridgewater to help protect our environment.

Meanwhile, on a more reflective note, parents and community members are invited to two more sessions to take part in a moderated discussion on issues raised by the movie "Race to Nowhere" and in other community discussions. The sessions will be held on Saturday at and next Monday at the .

Knights of Columbus Easter Egg Hunt
When/Where: On Sunday, to start at 1:15 p.m., at in Basking Ridge. No rain date, event will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather.
Why Go: This is the stuff childrens' memories are made of, show your thanks to the Knights of Columbus AND you get some Easter candy already!

Are You Faster Than A Ridge Runner?
When/Where:
Noon on Sunday at Mountain Park, 1 Mountain Way, in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: Fourth annual fundraiser benefiting the Ridge Runners cross country and track and field teams, with 5K race, one-mile walk, kids races. Pit yourself against some of the fastest student runners in Somerset County and raise money for needed equipment and more for Ridge athletes.
Cost: $25

Photos with the Easter Bunny
When/Where: Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the .
Why Go: To celebrate the Easter season with a family picture with the Easter Bunny.
Cost: Depends on the cost of the photo package you purchase.

Community Discussions on the Race to Nowhere
When/Where: Saturday, at 3 p.m., at in Basking Ridge, and next Monday, March 26, at 7 p.m. at in the center of the Liberty Corner section of Bernards Township.
Why Go: Opportunities for a moderated discussion among parents, educators, and members of the community to gather and informally talk about such issues as goals for students, how much homework is too much and other topics raised by the movie.

Children's Consignment Sale
When/Where: Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at Pluckemin Presbytarian Church in Bedminster.
Why Go: To purchase children's clothes, sports equipment, outdoor play equipment and much more. The sale is open until 1 p.m., with a half price sale from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost: Free, just the cost of what you purchase.

Free Intro to Yoga For Teens
When/Where: From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at in the Liberty Corner section of Bernards Township.
Why Go: To learn about yoga, and try it out before possibly signing up.
Cost: Free.

Pre-Passover Wine Tasting
When/Where: On Thursday, 7 to 10 p.m. at 3048 Valley Road in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: Because there are more kosher wines that are just right for the Seder table than you may have imagined. Have fun trying some of them out ahead of time.
Cost: $5 per person

Olde Mill Inn Bridal Open House
When/Where: Thursday at 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Route 202, in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: Tips on planning your perfect wedding, and a chance to  sample a delicious and beautiful signature drink, the Champagne Diamond.
Cost: Free.

Sunrise of Basking Ridge Spring Homes & Garden Tour
When/Where: On Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 404 King George Road in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: To a tour of community where you can meet the team and visit with residents at an assisted living facility.

BAM Social Sports Launch Party
When/Where: Friday at 6 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings on Route 22 in Bridgewater.
Why Go: To celebrate the launch of adult [21+] co-ed recreational sports leagues and social events primarily in Northern and Central New Jersey. There will be drinks, food, a raffle and lots of fun people to hang out with.

Walk on the Wild Side at Duke Farms
When/Where: Friday at 6 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. at Duke Farms on Route 206 in Hillsborough.
Why Go: To explore nature through a 1.25-mile trail and look at some of the landscape created by J.B. Duke.
Cost: Free.

Living A Healthier Life
When/Where: Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 3703 Graham Court in Bridgewater.
Why Go: To learn about anti-aging skin care and other products to give you a better life, including non-toxic cleaning products with Shaklee.

3rd Annual 10K Run From Winter Race
When/Where: Sunday at 10 a.m. at  in Bridgewater.
Why Go: To support Middle Earth with a 10K run through the park. The event proceeds benefit Middle Earth, which is a Somerset County organization that provides youth with a safe environment.
