PTO Invites All Township Parents to Attend Wednesday Meeting About 2011-12 School Budget

Meeting to begin at 7 p.m. at the William Annin Middle School.

Parents with children in any of the district's six schools are invited to attend a Wednesday night meeting sponsored by the Bernards Parent-Teacher Organization to hear a presentation on the proposed school budget for next year.

The presentation is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the , 70 Quincy Road, in Basking Ridge.

Dr. Valerie Goger, Superintendent of the Bernards Township Schools, is scheduled to present the 2011-2012 school budget. The superintendent also wuld answer questions about the budget, according to an email from the PTO.

The proposed $89-million budget, of which local taxpayers would fund $80 million,

That budget, which also includes the return of the nine-period day at Ridge High School, will be placed on the ballot in a school election scheduled for Wednesday, April 27.
