The 2011 Ridge boys varsity soccer team hosted the Wayne Hills Patriots in a scrimmage at Lee Field, Basking Ridge on Thursday morning, but the event didn't last long.

The game was shortened to 20 minutes by repetitious lightning strikes.  At the time, Ridge was leading by 1-0.

While the varsity team at least got a chance to stretch their legs, the junior varsity boys soccer team watched the action from the sidelines. But the inclement weather canceled scrimmage games that were planned for the junior varsity and freshmen boys soccer players.
