Ridge Baseball Drops Ball Against North Hunterdon

Lions take Red Devils 8-1 at game in Hunterdon.

The Ridge high school baseball team was defeated by the North Hunterdon Lions 8-1 in Clinton Township on Thursday. Andrew Graziano went 2-3 and had the lone RBI in the game.

IN SHORT

The Ridge baseball never seemed to get started in their game against North Hunterdon on the Lions' turf. Ridge starting pitcher, Jon Tam, pitched 85 pitches in five innings giving up 9 hits, 2 walks and had 1 strike out. Senior captain Andrew Graziano had two singles and an RBI to lead the Devils at the plate.  North Hunterdon's Steve Bloodworth, 5-1 on the season, held the Devils to 6 hits, had 5 strike outs and only 1 walk.

KEY PERFORMANCES

Andrew Graziano — Graziano went 2-3 with an RBI to lead Ridge; Brett Matzen— Matzen was hit by a pitch, had a double and scored the Ridge run.
