UPDATE: Ridge Vs. Gill Boys Bball to be on TV Friday

MSG on Friday will televise game in which Ridge was outscored by halftime, and but battled to regain ground with fourth-quarter comeback.

The boys basketball team traveled to Gill St. Bernard's School for a Skylands Conference game Tuesday night, knowing they would face one of the state's top high school basketball teams. Gill is ranked 3rd in N.J. by the Star Ledger, and they showed why in the away game in Peapack-Gladstone. The Gill team secured an strong early lead, and wouldn't let up in the first half. Even Ridge's strong fourth-quarter comeback couldn't climb over the point difference in a game that ended 69-55 for Gill.

MSG Varsity television will be broadcasting the boys basketball game between Ridge and Gill St. Bernard's, at 4 p.m. on Friday. MSG Varsity is on channel 14 on Cablevision of Raritan Valley. COACH'S TAKE

"At some point in the second quarter, we had the score down to a 7-point difference, and they scored 12-15 points to finish the half. That made the lead go from 9 to 20 in a matter of seconds. At that point, we were in trouble. They've got some shooters and they move the ball well. Their big man is much improved and playing pretty well right now.  ur options were limited tonight. My hat goes off to Gill, they played well. Our kids competed, they played hard. I am happy with my kids.  We had a little bit of a juggernaut here the last two games, at Plainfield (No. 2 ranked in N.J. by the Star Ledger, played on Saturday) and at Gill. This will only make us better looking forward. We are moving in the right direction." - Ridge head coach Brian Feath

Up Next - Ridge will host Franklin Thursday evening, 7 p.m.
