Ridge Freshmen: Tour Your New School

Student orientation for incoming freshmen and other students new to Ridge High School scheduled for Wed., Aug. 31.

Incoming freshmen and other students who will be new to this fall are invited to attend an orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the school at 268 S. Finley Ave.

Students will have an opportunity to meet with their guidance counselors, tour the building and hear from the school principal, Frank Howlett, according to the Bernards Township school website.

New students also will have a chance to find out about the school during a question and answer session scheduled to be held with upperclassmen.

The orientation is divided into two sessions. 

Students with last names beginning with A-K are asked to attend orientation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Check-in is at 8:45 a.m. in the auditorium lobby, according to the Bernards Township school website.

Students with last names beginning with L-Z are scheduled to attend orientation from noon to 2 p.m. Check-in for those students is at 11:45 a.m. in the auditorium lobby.

Parents of all high school students can tour the high school building and meet their students' teachers at Back to School nights this fall.

Back to School night is scheduled for Sept. 22 for the parents of students in grades 9 and 12. Back to School night parents of students in grades 10 and 11 is scheduled for Oct. 5. Further details will follow.
