The Devils started the evening celebrating Senior Night by honoring the senior members of the band, the cheerleading squad, and the football team. Each squad was introduced and walked to midfield at Lee Field to the cheers of the Ridge faithful.

Franklin took only three plays of the opening series to get on the scoreboard and would score two more times in the opening quarter. After the second TD, Devil senior Tim Fallato brought the fans to their feet when he broke through the line, blocking Franklin's extra point attempt.

The second period was more of the same with Franklin scoring three more unanswered touchdowns. Senior Johnny Graves put Ridge on the board with a slicing 41 yard field goal that cleared the crossbar by two feet.

Much of the Ridge offense was shouldered by Evan Skea taking more than half the carries for half the team's gains on the ground. Ridge quarterback Conor Hughes was under a great deal of pressure from the Warriors, which sacked Hughes twice and held him to minus-8 yards on five carries.

The second half went very quickly because of the "mercy rule," allowing the clock to run without stopping except for injuries, touchdowns and penalties. Ridge did have a positive drive in the second half, bringing the ball to the 2-yard line when a fumbled  snap turned the ball over to the Warriors for a touchback.

DEVIL OF THE GAME

Evan Skea, running back, linebacker–Skea led all Devils ball carriers in number of carries (9) and yardage (25). Skea was also active in the defensive backfield, making a number of tackles.

THEY SAID IT

"That is a great team, one of the better teams I have ever coached against. This was not one of our better nights on offense. Our challenge this week is to 'put the wheels back on' and re-group for the game next week.  It will be our last week together and we will try to go off on a high note next week.–Ridge coach Bill Tracy

Up Next–The Ridge opponent is yet to be determined for the consolation game.  Ridge AD Rich Shello said the team, day and time will be determined by Tuesday.
