Videos to be Presented From Public Forum for Nine School Board

The Basking Ridge Patch will feature videos of each of the candidates during the next two weeks.

The nine candidates who are competing for the three seats open for election this April 27 last Thursday appeared at a forum at Ridge High School.

The forum was hosted by the League of Women Voters of Somerset Hills, and two student organizations, Ridge Empowerment for Political Participation and the Economics Club.

Each candidates was given an opportunity to provide a brief introduction about themselves, and their candidacy.

The candidates also answered questions, as presented by Terri Thompson of Bernardsville, a moderator from the League of Women Voters.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, the Patch will present short videos of the candidates and their statements. The nine candidates will be featured one each day through Friday, and again on the following Monday through Friday.

The candidates who filed petitions to be included on the ballot for the three, three-year seats on the Board of Education are: 

Bev Darvin Cwerner, Elmwod Court, an incumbent

Timothy Ingling, Madisonville Road

Renee Marchetti, Dickinson Road

Susan McGowan, Peachtree Road, an incumbent

Teresa Morgan, Mine Brook Road

Robert Rofman, Patriot Hill Drive

Priti Shah, Sentinel Drive

William Stuart, Huntington Road

Linda Wooldridge, Hillcrest Way

Ken Wilke, currently a board member, did not file for re-election. The school election for the public to vote on candidates and the proposed 2011-12 budget is set for April 27,
