All Invited to Wed. PTO Meeting on Sleep and Lunchroom Choices

Wednesday WAMS PTO meeting on importance of sleep and making healthy choices in the school cafeteria, with refreshments to be served.

The PTO is inviting parents from all Bernards Township schools to a meeting on two subjects affecting student health — the importance of adequate sleep and healthy choices available to students in the school lunchroom.

The meeting is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday in the auditorium at the middle school at 70 Quincy Road.

The organizers of the PTO meeting announced there will be qualified speakers on two important topics.

Dr. Thomas Porter, M.D., from , an experienced pediatrician with special knowledge of adolescent medicine, will discuss the benefits of adequate sleep as well as how to manage common sleep problems.

A review of the Bernards Township food service program will be led by Debra H. Smith, associate district manager with ARAMARK Education, along with Steve Tardibuono, food service director, and Julia Brown, assistant director. The speakers will be discussing healthy choices available to students in the cafeteria.

Refreshments will be served, according to the WAMS PTO board.
