UPDATE: More Outdoor Cancellations; Time to Stay Indoors

Many of the things to do on our list of things to do is put on hold as hurricane threatends.

This week's list of activities include some last chances — the last 'Free Friday' at the Somerset Hills YMCA, which all summer has been offering free admission to many of its facilities on Fridays and also the last Somerset County-scheduled concert at Duke Island Park.

UPDATE: The County Caper and the County Caper Accelerated, scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday, have been canceled in the likelihood of Hurricane Irene barreling into town this weekend.

No reschedule date has been named at this time, a spokesperson at the Somerset County Environmental Education Center in Basking Ridge said on Thursday.

The Somerset County's weekly Sunday concert series, supposed to wrap up with New Riders of the Purple Sage, also has been canceled due to impending rain.

The Somerset County Park Commission announced Friday that all park facilities will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 28, due to the predicted visit from Hurricane Irene.
