Early Registration is Tuesday for 5K Race With Ridge Runners

Benefit race with Ridge cross country and track & field teams to be held March 27 at Mountain Park.

Are you faster than a Ridge High School runner? Even if you aren't, the Ridge cross country and track & field teams invite the public to join in their 5K race, one-mile walk and Kids Race scheduled for March 27.

The third annual races and walk to raise funds for the teams is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on March 27 at Mountain Park, at Martinsville Road and Mountain Road in Basking Ridge. The USATF-certified 5K course is a flat-looped trail through the park. Water stations and professional race timing will be provided, with splits given at the one and two mile marks.

The benefit event is sponsored by the Ridge Runners Booster Club to raise money for needed equipment for both teams. Needed equipment includes ellipticals, weights, and storage, according to a news release from the organizers.
