FCS 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk & Kid Sprint

Fall is around the corner. As summer draws to an end, many will be getting back into the swing of things and looking to the autumn months known for their harvest and comfort. It is the perfect time to enjoy a beautiful day outdoors while helping a great cause! FCS will be hosting our first Annual “Don’t Fall, Let’s Run!” 5K Race, 1 Mile Walk, and Kid Sprint taking place (rain or shine) on September 15th, 2012 at Duke Island Park (Oak Grove Pavilion) in Bridgewater, NJ.

 

Fun for people of all ages, registration and packet pick up begin at 8:00 AM.  Don’t Fall, Let’s Run is a USATF certified and sanctioned course and Grand Prix event. The flat paved coarse runs along the scenic Raritan River and through wooded trails. Proceeds benefit Family & Community Services of Somerset County, a private non-profit agency providing individual and family mental health services to children, adults, individuals, couples, families, and groups of all ages. Counseling is by licensed and certified professionals. We offer affordable rates based on a sliding scale. We rely on you, the community, as well as private donations to provide these high quality and vital services.
