Lacrosse Event Raises Money for Worthy Cause

6th annual BTO Classic supports the Brian's Dream Foundation.

The fields of Mountain Park were filled with lacrosse games and friends, fans and family Friday night.  The event, the 6th Annual BTO Lacrosse Classic, included teams from 7 local clubs along with a silent auction, music and food .

The BTO Classic helps support the fundraising efforts of the Brian's Dream Foundation.  Bryan Opremcak played lacrosse for Somerset Hills wearing the number 17.  Bryan passed away from a brain tumor in 2006.  His teammates at Ridge High School honored him on senior night and presented his parents, Nancy and Tim, with a jersey with his number.  The team also wears a patch on their helmets that says "BTO 17".

The foundation provides support to children and families affected by pediatric brain tumors. It has raised more than $500,000 and provides services to hospitals locally and across the country.
