Ridge 15/16U Baseball Advances to Championship

Giarraputo and Farkas home runs lead 18-hit attack against Montville on Tuesday night.

The Basking Ridge 15/16U baseball team won its semifinal playoff game Tuesday night as the team pounded out 18 hits to beat Montville 16-3. The game was played in Mountain Park in Basking Ridge. The team plays in the West Division of the New Providence Green League, a league composed of 15-16 year olds who do not play for their high school teams.

The win moves the Ridge team — already the League's Western Division champs — into a final game on Thursday against Clark, the league's Eastern Division champions, to see who will be champion in their age category for the entire New Providence Green League.
