Fifteenth-ranked Glen Ridge was the fourth top 20 team ninth-ranked Ridge faced in the last 10 days — including Chatham, Hunterdon Central and Bridgewater-Raritan. The Red Devils came away from that tough line-up with two wins and two losses.

Saturday's scoring came from juniors J.T. Palladino and two from goalie/attacker Owen Molloy. Seniors Eric Scott and Alec Burckley would complete the scoring for the Devils. Senior goalie T.J. Jones had 13 saves on the evening.

"This was a tough team and a tough opponent, it is an out of conference opponent that just makes us better," said Ridge head coach Ken Marsh following the win.

Marsh added, "Our defense played well. They got back to what they had been doing earlier in the season, only allowing two goals, which is something we grew accustomed to early in the year. We kind of got away from that recently.  We finally played the way we should have defensively. It was a good game."

"It was big that we got off to a lead early, we have been working on starting off a faster lately," said senior Eric Scott, bound for Yale University in the fall to play lacrosse. "In our three losses we started off pretty slow. There was a lot of motivation for us with it being senior night tonight."

"It has been exhausting [facing four Top 20 teams in two weeks,] but it's good going into counties and states," said Scott.  "In the past couple of years we played a little bit of the weaker part of the schedule at the end of the season and it didn't really help us going into the post season."
