Ridge Football Hosts State Tournament Game Friday

After a long post-Sandy break, the boys in green will be back at home.

The Ridge Red Devils football team will be back at Lee Field behind Ridge High School at 7 p.m. on Friday night, playing a first-round state tournament game  that will mark the team's first game since the Friday before Hurricane Sandy struck on Oct. 29.

The matchup is against Bridgewater High School. The Municipal Alliance Against Substance abuse will be at the game, giving away free t-shirts.

If Ridge wins on Friday, the team will be back home on November for another round against whoever wins this Friday night's contest between Watchung Hills Regional High School and Piscataway, said Ridge Athletic Director Rich Shello and Head Football Coach Bill Tracy.
